And More Waiting
I went for a weigh-in with the fertility clinic on Friday. I'm pretty pleased with what I've managed. Of the 12 lbs I put on during quarantine, I've managed to lose 9 in the past 6 weeks. For me, that's no small feat.
I've been doing keto and pilates and intermittent fasting. The combination really has helped.
We had a call scheduled with the doctor today. We had a whole range of thoughts of how we would react to a range of different weight loss requests.
However, we were shocked when he said that I'd already lost enough weight for them to accept me for IVF, with provisions. I have to have a consult with an anesthesiologist, and they have to be at my procedure. That's a little more money, but because we're already traveling to Vancouver for the procedure, our IVF round will be discounted by $1000 to compensate (there's a whole thing with COVID + their operating theatre in Victoria being remodelled), so we'll just funnel those savings into the anesthesiologist fee.
So, we can start, right?
No.
He asked when my period started and though I had some brown discharge yesterday, my period hasn't restarted, so I guess I just need to wait a few more days and we can start again.
